Lambort Color

The last couple of sketches that are mechs, were done on my iPad, the coloring as well. It takes a a bit longer in comparison to my computer, but it's being used up by my animation. I usually draw these on my breaks.

Lambort

First one the mechs to not be referenced from AC. Started with the head, then to the shoulders, body, and threw in a very deformed arm. Yeesh! That thing is atrocious. I was browsing dA for refs and happened upon finding the front of a Lamborghini Aventador so for all we know, this guy is a transformer! D:
When I think about the other parts, the head reminds me of the Guncannon  from Gundam, even though is doesn't necessarily look the same.

I'm feeling a little more confident in finding the symmetry, not yet tried the arms[as you can tell] or legs, maybe later.

Mecha Me Crazy

Buckled down and bought the full version of Sketchbook on my iPad $5, I thought I would be able to swing it. Those extra layers turn out to be more helpful.

This mechanism is the core of Eqbal Salaf...well, for the most part. It's extremely more basic than its true counterpart and because I'm just starting out drawing mechs, I haven't gotten as comfortable adding more detail.

Baby steps!

Inklings

My take on inking some dragon sketches from my little booklet of monsters.

Found a 0.1 Staedtler Pigment Liner in my toolbox and felt the need to experiment. Some of my friends were talking about some comic artists who are pretty badass with ink, saw some tutorials and demos myself, thus sparking my interest.

Whaleboy

Everyone's favorite Cetacean-child! Whaleboy!

This is based off of Bobby Chiu's version from Imaginism

This has been sitting around for awhile, I wanted to finish him up, but with other projects going on, it's a little hard to find the time. :[ But when I do, I'm going to take apart the bottom half to insert an armature to place on a piece of wood for presentation, then add the fish[which is already done] that Bobby painted on his version.[link up top]

Still needs front zipper, stitches, and calcium deposits?
Also gonna put a button butt-flap in the back for when he goes boom boom.

Beep Boop

Using some good reference from my Armored Core Design book and starting to get used to drawing geometric shapes, along with using surface light from different angles.

Done on my iPad 2 with Adonit Stylus pen in Sketchbook Express.

Blue Awakening

An Oldie, but Goldie. In undergrad I went through a lot of art phases, this was during my Greek Mythology stint. I found a great picture of a canyon riddled in snow and thought the composition would be great for something coming out of a "mysterious" fog. This giant is my take on an Ice Titan.

A lot of experimenting in photo manipulation and lighting. Pretty good from what I started out in the beginning of my art career where all I could draw were pasta people.

Inevitability

Couple of years ago I wanted to try out comic strips. Call it a phase. It didn't last too long. :[
I don't remember what exactly compelled me to do the Pac-man Ghosts, but I do recall thinking, "Man, wouldn't it suck if you were one of them, hit a dead end, and begin turning into a blue ghost.
This pretty much sums it up. Poor little guys.

Robots and Gadgmoes

Soooo I got myself a new toy for my iPad, a Jot Pro stylus. I also wanted to try it out so I downloaded the app Sketchbook Express[maybe later I'll buy Pro] and thus, what thou sees before ye, hath been drawn upon thine tablet.

It's....well it's a somewhat primitively[and poorly] drawn mech robot. I bought an Armored Core Designs book that has a ton of their mechs because I wanted to learn more or less their basic constructs. The grill in front is more Gundam than AC. Come to think of it, in that same purchase I got a Gundam booklet too. Too bad they're in Japanese, I'm just glad they've got lots of pictures.

Here's to my first step towards mechanical uprisings! 0010101!!!

Gertrude

This is Gammyraggin with the upper teeth, Originally named Gertrude. Did a little more wrinkles around the face and eyes. To the left is what I used for reference, my sketchbook. I might have posted that part prior to this, but if not, here ya go! On the worldwideweb, a random person had told me it looked like a cross species between a shark dragon, and a ram so I decided to name the species Sharkramgon.

The Bat

He is....well, he will be The Bat. I'd just gotten done watching The Dark Knight Returns, which is the Frank Miller version. That explains why is chin is so redonkulous. You know what, I've been putting a lot of chin-related posts. What's wrong with me?!

Female Rockjaw & Percy

What looks to be a slightly younger version of Rockjaw, possibly a female. She's got an eye that goes further around her head. Them males are pretty aggressive...if you know what I mean.[shoulder nudge]
To the right, meet Morla's cousin from The Neverending Story. His name is Percy. He's damn happy. Look at that smile! If you don't remember who Morla was, here's a refresher. Morla's non-caring ass.

Rockjaw

I shall call him, Rockjaw! A face only a mother could love. His big ol' chintastic mandible is a force to be reckoned with. I'm sure he got some grief as a young pup, but I'm sure he ate all those who voiced their opinions.

Skullpt

A skullpt...GET IT?! SKULLpt! Nyuck Nyuck Nyuck
He's got some chompers on him, something horse status, but I'll take them down a smidgen and you are correct to see his formidable incisors. Quite possibly a vampire, unsure yet.
The left[skull's right side] is the geometrical way I learned how to sculpt the human skull.
